Oakwood Shores is located in Brazoria County. Celebrated for its active coastal lifestyle, the county is known as "the place where Texas began." Part of the Brazosport area, there are dozens of parks and beaches nearby, so you’ll never run out of things to do.
Just ten minutes away, Gulf of Mexico beaches are a popular destination for area residents. Quintana Beach County Park, fronting the Gulf of Mexico, is worth every bit of the 15 mile drive. The park is filled with historical details, a nature conserve, and countless recreational opportunities. Nearby Surfside Beach has 21 miles of unspoiled shoreline and is renowned for its incredible fishing, surfing and beach-side relaxation. On the northeast end of the county, San Luis Pass County Park is one of the hottest fishing spots on the Texas coast, and a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset.
